Diligence is the mother of good luck

“I have been having a string of bad luck,” said my ride-share client when he got in my car.

“Yesterday someone stole my tools.”

“Are you a mechanic?” I asked.

“Yeah. This morning someone went into my truck and stole my phone and siphoned my gas. I’m beginning to think I’ve pissed off someone, but I can’t think of who. The thing is I’m a nice guy and I always help people that need the most help and those people are often the ones that will take advantage of you.

“Yeah, I see what you mean. I wish you better luck,” I said as he left the car.
